Kathleen M. Vaeth received her Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Currently, she is Director of User Experience and Technical Sales at OLEDWorks, in Rochester, New York. Previously, she was at the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Cornell University. Prior to her Cornell appointment she was Vice President of Engineering at microGen Systems and a senior research scientist at the Research Laboratories of the Eastman Kodak Company. At Eastman Kodak she distinguished herself for her work on organic light emitting diodes (OLED), MEMS, and microfluidics. At microGen Systems, her work was centered on the development of piezoelectric energy harvesters for wireless sensors. During her tenure at the Eastman Kodak Company she was part of the team that demonstrated spatial and spectral coherent emission from pulsed electrically-excited interferometric devices powered by coumarin laser dye-doped OLEDs. In 2021 she was elected a Fellow of Optica
